buildHER stores your data on your phone. We do not have a server that holds your workouts, your cycle, your symptoms or your photos. If you delete the app, or tap "Delete my data", it is gone.
Your name and stats (height, weight, age range, goals), your workouts, routines and personal records, your cycle dates, phase and symptom logs, pelvic-floor check-ins if you use them, weight and measurement entries, step counts if you allow motion access, achievements, notes, and any progress photos you add to the vault. All of this lives in the app's private storage on your device and is protected by your phone's own security.
We do not collect or transmit your cycle data, symptoms, pregnancy or postpartum status, health data, photos, or location. We do not sell data, we do not show ads, and we do not use advertising trackers.
Photos in the vault are saved inside the app's private folder on your phone, not to your camera roll, and are only shown after you unlock with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. They never leave your device unless you choose to share one.
When you search for a food, the words you type (or a scanned barcode number) are sent to the USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts databases to look up nutrition. Nothing else goes with it: no name, no account, no cycle data. What you log stays on your phone.
If you allow motion access, buildHER reads your step count from your phone's motion sensor to show progress toward your daily goal. Nothing is sent anywhere.
If you choose "Add to calendar", buildHER creates a "buildHER" calendar on your phone and writes your scheduled workouts to it. You can remove that calendar at any time in your phone's Calendar settings.
buildHER Pro is sold through Apple. Apple handles payment and gives us an anonymous receipt that says whether your subscription is active. We never see your card details or Apple ID password. Manage or cancel any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
When you share a workout summary or achievement card, the app creates an image and hands it to the app you pick (Instagram, Messages and so on). What happens to it after that is governed by that app.
The current version sends no analytics. If we add crash reporting in future, it will contain technical information about the crash only, never your health or cycle data, and this policy will be updated first.
The "at home" section opens bodmonzaid.com in your browser. That site has its own privacy policy.
buildHER is for adults and is not directed at anyone under 16.
Profile → Delete my data removes everything the app stores, including vault photos, and returns the app to its first-open state. Deleting the app from your phone does the same. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing further to delete on our side.
Phase guidance, symptom swaps, pelvic-floor prompts, fuel targets and skin notes are general information based on typical patterns. They are not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Talk to a doctor, physio or midwife about anything specific to you.
If this policy changes, the new version will be shown in the app and the date at the top will update.
